This creamy seafood pasta is a delicious dish that uses a handful of simple ingredients to create a rich, velvety sauce that is full of incredible flavours. The four vital ingredients for this dish are shrimps, fresh cream, calamari, and tagliatelle pasta. This combination creates a textural masterpiece.

You can garnish this dish with a range of additional ingredients, such as tangy sun-dried tomatoes, parsley, fresh garlic chives, spicy jalapeno chilies, or vinegary black olives. There is also a range of cheeses that work well with this dish; for example, crumbled feta will add a Mediterranean flair. In comparison, Pecorino Romano will offer a sharper flavour than Parmesan, which has a nuttier taste.
Shrimps, Calamari, Tagliatelle, Chili flakes, Paprika powder, Garlic Powder, Onion, Garlic cloves, Fresh cream, Butter and Cooking oil.
Calamari has a mild flavour with a slightly chewy texture. When cooked properly, it remains soft and tender. Shrimp, on the other hand, has a bit of a buttery flavour; both these factors make these ingredients a firm favourite for seafood-based dishes.
You can substitute octopus for calamari, which is close in flavour and texture. Fishes such as Cod, Nile perch, and Hake can also work for this dish. If you simply want to try the creamy sauce with pasta, protein such as a chicken breast would also complement the flavours.
When it comes to shrimp, consider prawns or scallops as substitutes. Scallops take the same amount of time to cook as calamari. Crab meat, whether canned or fresh, will provide this dish with a luxurious flavour.

Chili flakes, paprika powder, and garlic powder add a lot of flavour to this dish. For creamy seafood pasta, it is essential to add a spice such as paprika powder or cayenne pepper to add colour to the dish. Butter and cream enhance the seafood flavours. Fresh garlic cloves and onions are sauteed and caramelized to add a touch of sweetness to the dish.
Tagliatelle pasta is a vital part of the dish; its flat, long shape provides the perfect base for absorbing the creamy sauce and plays a key role in bringing harmony to the meal. Other pasta types that can work with this dish are fettuccine, pappardelle, and rigatoni.
Wash the calamari and the shrimps under running water, remove the shells of the shrimps, and slice the calamari. Chop the onions into cubes and finely dice the garlic cloves. Add oil and butter to the pot and set the temperature to medium-low. Sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown. Add the paprika powder, garlic powder, and chili flakes to the pot. Mix well.

At this point, start boiling the water for the pasta on medium heat. Once the water is bubbling, add the tagliatelle pasta and cook for eight minutes. Set a timer on the stove to ensure you turn off the heat when the pasta is al dente. Add the cream to the sautéed onions and garlic, then add the seafood. Mix the ingredients, then cook on medium-low heat for 4 minutes. The calamari should turn from an opaque colour to white.

Once cooked, add the tagliatelle pasta and chopped parsley. Add the juice of 1/4 lemon and three tablespoons of pasta water, then mix again. The pasta water will thicken the sauce and make it creamy.

After the pasta is mixed with the seafood, add a bit more parsley and serve the dish. For extra flavour, you can also add some grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce. This step is optional. Taste the flavours and adjust the salt content as needed.

The Creamy seafood pasta is ready to eat and enjoy. This dish is one of the easiest and simplest pastas to make at home. The manner of preparing the dish allows the tagliatelle pasta to be infused with the flavours of the calamari and the shrimp.

There are so many incredible dishes that can be served with this pasta recipe; consider garlic bread as a carbohydrate option. Some great salad options include Caprese salad, Red pepper and rocket salad, Roasted Baby tomatoes, Sauteed broccolini, and more.
Store in the fridge for two days. It is best to consume this dish as soon as possible. If you want to make a large amount of this dish, consider sturdier pastas such as penne pasta or fusilli. Tagliatelle tends to soften up and absorb the remaining sauce when stored in the fridge.

I love seafood and I love pasta. Seafood pasta, I loooooooove it! Thanks for the recipe.
