This crunchy cucumber salad is a delightful and easy-to-make dish with the perfect seasoning and flavour. It is perfect for warm summer days. Cucumber salads are eaten across Asia as they have an incredible ability to cool the body down.
This salad will be perfect if you’re planning a high-protein meal such as Grilled Lamb chops, Rib-eye steak, or anything slightly greasy. There is so much to love about cucumbers. They’re incredibly hydrating and packed with nutrients. This salad can complement a ton of recipes, such as pan-seared salmon and shrimp skewers.
Cucumbers, Rice vinegar, Sesame seeds, Sesame seed oil, Red chili powder, Salt & Black Pepper, Dark Soy Sauce.
To create a crunchy cucumber salad, you will need crisp and fresh cucumbers. It is essential to slice the cucumbers vertically and then into several triangular pieces, which will ensure that they are crunchy. Dark soy sauce, salt, and black pepper deepen the flavours. Sesame seed oil adds a nutty taste, and chili powder adds heat.
Thoroughly wash the cucumbers and pat dry. Cut them in half, then horizontally and into quarters along the core. The cucumber will have a triangular shape. The next step is to make the Salad Dressing. Add the Rice vinegar, Dark soy sauce, Sesame seed oil, and spices to a bowl and mix well. Drizzle over the cucumber and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Many dishes pair well with this dish, so consider grilled chops along with some fried chips. Rib-eye steak with Creamy mashed potatoes is another fantastic option. Chicken adobo is a popular dish from the Philippines and, in my opinion, one of the tastiest recipes. If you’re feeling for something Indian, consider butter chicken as a great dish. Are you in the mood for Arabic food? Then pair Lamb Kofta and Chicken Shawarma. If you enjoy cucumbers, consider our Smashed cucumber salad as well. It has flavours similar to this salad’s, but we’ve added a Korean twist to this recipe.
