Strawberries, Spinach, Greek Feta Cheese, Apple Cider Vinegar, Olive oil, Honey, Salt and Pepper.
Feta cheese is much more than just a creamy topping for salads; it’s an incredible ingredient that can truly elevate your dishes. Packed with protein and calcium, feta cheese is both nutritious and flavorful. Many people may not realize the amazing flavor combination that arises when feta cheese is paired with strawberries. This pairing creates a perfect flavor match.
Juicy, ripe strawberries provide a sweet contrast to the other ingredients in this dish. Spinach serves as the base; its mild, earthy flavor perfectly complements the strawberries. Wash and dry the spinach thoroughly to ensure a crisp and fresh taste. Crumbled Greek feta adds a tangy and creamy element, while its saltiness enhances the sweetness of the strawberries. To bring everything together, whisk together apple cider vinegar, extra-virgin olive oil, and honey, then season with salt and ground black pepper.
Thoroughly wash the Strawberries. Chop them in half and add them to a bowl. Add one tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit with the sugar for twenty minutes. Macerating the strawberries adds sweetness and draws out the liquid.

If your feta cheese is salty, cut it into cubes and soak it in a small amount of water for about 5 minutes. Drain the water and cut the cheese into cubes. Start by washing the baby spinach and adding it to a salad bowl. If you don’t have spinach, you can substitute it with kale leaves, romaine lettuce, or frisée lettuce.

Once all the ingredients are in the bowl, mix them together gently. Finally, drizzle dressing over the strawberry salad, being careful not to crumble the feta cheese. This strawberry salad is a celebration of freshness and nutrition, featuring an array of healthy and delicious ingredients that come together beautifully to create a truly unforgettable dining experience.
Store in the refrigerator without adding the salad dressing. Strawberries and baby spinach have a short shelf life. For best results, consume within two days.
Many recipes pair well with Strawberry salad; consider Grilled meat and Rib-eye Steak. You can serve this salad with Grilled chicken breasts or your protein of choice. Strawberries have a very fresh taste; consider serving them alongside lamb chops and fried chips.
When selecting strawberries, look for fresh and fragrant ones. Avoid strawberries with green patches and choose those with a deep maroon color. Rinse the strawberries under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove the leafy tops from the strawberries. To enhance your strawberry salad, consider adding arugula, spinach, or romaine lettuce. The best nuts for this salad are almonds, walnuts, and cashews. For cheese, goat cheese or feta are great options. You can also incorporate other fruits and berries, such as blueberries and citrus.
A simple vinaigrette works wonderfully as a salad dressing. Start with a neutral oil, like light olive oil or grapeseed oil, as the base of the dressing. Adding balsamic vinegar and lemon juice will brighten the salad’s flavors. For an extra layer of sweetness, include honey, maple syrup, or molasses. A poppy seed dressing also complements this salad nicely. Finally, fresh herbs like mint and basil can elevate the dish even further.
