Choose fresh and firm baby tomatoes. We’ve chosen baby tomatoes for this recipe because they are in season. You can use regular tomatoes for this dish; however, try to avoid overripe tomatoes, as they will have too much liquid. Firm tomatoes are recommended for a perfect Caprese salad.
