This French fries seasoning is out of this world! If you’re looking for a way to amp up your French fry game, you’ve come to the right place. The best part about this recipe is that most people have these dried herbs and spices in their pantries.
This French fry seasoning is unusually addictive and should not be underestimated. When you taste it, you will realize that the flavour is better than most potato chips sold by popular supermarket brands.
We’ve adapted this recipe several times to get the perfect combination of flavours. French fry seasoning enhances the fried chips made at home. Sometimes, salt and pepper are insufficient, and you want extra flavour.
This French fry seasoning will work on just about any chips you have, thick or thin. You can also use it for roast potatoes. If you are using standard potatoes, consider using Russet potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, or Idaho potatoes.
French Fries (Store-bought😉), Dried Parsley, Paprika powder, Cajun spice, grated Parmesan Cheese, white pepper and salt.
For convenience, store-bought fries are a good choice. They are perfectly cut and crisp up perfectly in the fryer. You can use any type of chip, such as French fries, wedges, or crinkle cuts. If you’re working with home-made French fries, then consider slicing the potatoes into the desired shape and soaking the chips in cold water to remove the excess starch. Thereafter, fry and bake to perfection.
Dried parsley has a peppery flavor and adds a hint of brightness. Paprika powder adds a mild sweetness and creates a beautiful red color to the fries. Cajun spice is a combination of several different spices and adds a slight heat to the French fry seasoning. Parmesan cheese adds a touch of cheesiness to the dish. White pepper is subtler than black pepper. Salt is essential to bring out the flavor of the French fries.
Simply mix all the spices together: Cajun spice, Parmesan cheese, Dried parsley, Paprika powder, Salt, and pepper. Add the French fry seasoning to your chips and thoroughly mix it around.
Olive oil or sunflower oil is not needed for the spices to stick to the chips. As long as your chips are hot, they will do so easily. Toss the spices onto the chips and toss them around.
Consider serving the French fries with Grilled Lamb chops or Grilled Rib Eye Steak. Other side dishes include baked fish or stove-top chicken.
