Creamy Tuscan shrimps! If you are feeling for something fancy but don’t want to spend too long in the kitchen or go out to a restaurant, then this recipe will be perfect for you. Its perfect for a family night meal or a romantic evening with someone you love. ❤️
This bold dish has complex flavors that combines succulent shrimp with a creamy sauce. In order to ensure the best flavor, we recommend using pink, firm shrimp. When using frozen shrimps, we recommend thawing it properly, but don’t leave it for too long, especially on a hot day.
In terms of richness, this recipe is similar to my all-time favorite pasta recipe with sun-dried tomatoes and basil.
The core ingredients of Tuscan sauce uses garlic, heavy cream, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. You can also serve your Creamy Tuscan Shrimps with al dente pasta.
This is a very decadent dish. The flavors are bold and powerful. In order to cut through the creaminess of the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. You need to have white wine and garlic.
Brown the Garlic: Add the sliced onions. Add in the shrimps. Once the shrimp has turned slightly pink, it is done, you do not want to overcook the shrimp. Remove the shrimp, onion and garlic. Set it aside.
Sun-dried tomatoes: The next step is to add 2/3rd of the sliced sun-dried tomatoes. There should be some remnants of the olive oil and butter used from cooking the onion and garlic. If there is none, add a drop or two of olive oil. Let your sun-dried tomatoes cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add your heavy cream. Stir this mixture well and allow the juices of the sun-dried tomato to fuse with the heavy cream.
Add in the spices: Stir well. Lower the temperature during this process. Add the Parmesan cheese.
Spinach: Add in the spinach in and stir continuously on low heat. If you find the creamy Tuscan shrimps to be too thick or gloopy in texture, then add in 1/3 cup of water or white wine. If your baby spinach is not shriveling up, you can increase the temperature medium heat and continue stirring until it shrivels up.
Let it cook for a 2 minutes more. Turn off the heat and move to a cool surface on your stove. Add the balance of your sun-dried tomatoes and then sprinkle chives or parsley.
This recipe can be refrigerated for two to three days. You can reheat it on the stove. If you decide to freeze it, it could thaw in a strange way. Resulting in the separation of the heavy cream during the thawing process. It may or may not come together as were on its initial cooking stage.
You can serve your Creamy Tuscan Shrimps with one of the following side dishes: Garlic Bread, Asparagus side dish, Brussels sprout and Jasmine Rice.
