Make the sauce: Add the following ingredients to a small bowl - Hoisin sauce, cooking oil, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, rice vinegar, water, sugar, ginger powder, garlic powder, and paprika powder. Mix the Barbecue sauce blend in the bowl.
Coat the chicken wings: Rinse the wings in water, then place them in a large bowl. Then add the barbecue sauce to the chicken wings. Toss the chicken wings until all surfaces are coated with the sauce. [Make sure to reserve some barbecue sauce for the second coating of the chicken wings while they bake.]
Bake the chicken wings: Preheat the oven to 180ºC and bake the chicken wings for thirty minutes with the fan on. Then, remove the tray from the oven, coat the chicken wings with the remaining sauce, and put them back in the oven. This time, lower the temperature to 150ºC and bake for another fifteen minutes with the fan off. Drizzle fresh lime juice and serve with sides to enjoy the delicious baked chicken wings.
