Prepare the ingredients: Add the following ingredients in a small bowl - Hoisin sauce, cooking oil, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, rice vinegar, water, sugar, ginger powder, garlic powder and paprika powder. Rinse the chicken wings in water and place them in a large bowl.
Coat the chicken wings: Mix the Barbecue sauce blend in the bowl, then pour the sauce mixture into the chicken wings. Toss the chicken wings until all the surfaces of the wings are coated with the sauce. *Leave some barbecue sauce for the second coating of the chicken wings while baking.
Mesh tray: Place the chicken wings on the mesh baking tray. This tray helps bake the chicken wings faster as both sides are baked simultaneously. It is also convenient because there is no need to flip the chicken wings halfway through the baking.
Bake the chicken wings: Preheat the oven to 180ºC and bake the chicken wings for thirty minutes with the fan on. Then, remove the tray from the oven, coat the chicken wings with the remaining sauce, and put them back in the oven. This time, lower the temperature to 150ºC and bake for another fifteen minutes with the fan off. Drizzle fresh lime juice and serve with sides to enjoy the delicious baked chicken wings.
