The Stove-top Method: Cut the baguette into 1-inch cubes. Finely mince the garlic cloves and set aside. Preheat the pan on low heat. Add butter, minced garlic, and cubed bread. Toss to coat the bread cubes with butter and garlic, and toast for 5 to 8 minutes. Transfer the croutons into a bowl. Add the Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper to your taste. Toss to coat all the surface croutons with seasonings.
The Oven Method with aBaking Tray: Add the cubed croutons to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Add white or black pepper, salt, and finely minced garlic cloves to the croutons. Bake for 20 minutes at 160 degrees. After you have baked the croutons, remove them from the oven. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and finely diced parsley.
