Prepare the rice: Rinse the jasmine rice two times. Boil 1 1/4 cups of water. Make sure the rice is at a rolling boil. Add 1 cup of rice to your pot.
Cook the rice: Cover with a pot lid and cook for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, turn off the heat and leave the pot covered. Let the rice rest for 10 minutes. Fluff up the rice and serve.
